Flight Attendants
  

Following established guidelines, Flight Attendants perform a variety of services to provide for the safety and comfort of our passengers. Flight Attendants must be prepared to handle inflight security issues and emergency situations. The position requires the individual to deal effectively with people in a professional manner.

  • Another Form of ID (Driver's License, etc.)

Requirements

    • Minimum 19 years of age
    • Maximum Height of 5' 10'' (70") without shoes
    • Ability to reach a minimum of 68"
    • 2 years experience in a fast-paced customer service and problem-resolution environment
    • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • Must be willing to relocate after completing a 5-week training course
    • Valid Passport (MUST HAVE VALID PASSPORT IN HAND AT TIME OF SESSION/NO RECEIPTS ACCEPTED AT SESSION)

Acceptance of employment with Air Wisconsin Airlines indicates an admittance that assignment to any domicile is at the Company's discretion. It may be necessary to relocate.

Openings may not exist at all locations. All domicile assignments are subject to the needs of the Company.

NOTE: For those flying in, you may either take a cab to International Plaza #2, or you may take the big blue "Cargo City" bus that makes pick-ups approximately every 15 minutes. You may catch this bus outside the airport "F" Terminal. This bus is free of charge.

Employment

Employment is contingent upon:

1) Successful completion of the selection process. This includes a FAA-mandated ten (10) year background and fingerprint check, and a pre-employment drug test.

2) Successful completion of Air Wisconsin’s FAA-approved Initial Flight Attendant Training Program.

Schedules

In almost all cases, new Flight Attendants start on “reserve” status. This involves being on-call 19 or 20 days per month. New Flight Attendants should be prepared to work weekends and holidays. Schedules are determined by seniority.

Compensation

Wages for Flight Attendants are set by the collective bargaining agreement between Air Wisconsin and the Association of Flight Attendants (AFA).
