Mechanic Benefits

Health/Medical Insurance

  • Full-time employees may choose between a Comprehensive, PPO or available HMO plans based on location.

Dental Insurance

  • Full-time employees may elect a Comprehensive/PPO or DMO plan.

Life Insurance

  • Air Wisconsin provides basic life insurance of $75,000 to full-time employees.
  • Voluntary life insurance is available at a group rate for the employee, spouse and/or dependent(s).
  • AD & D coverage available for purchase by the employee.
  • Universal life and cancer policy available for purchase by the employee through payroll deduction.

Eligibility for Health, Dental and life insurance benefits is effective 15-45 days after employment depending on the employee's hire date.

Disability Insurance

  • Short Term and Long Term disability coverage.

Flexible Spending Accounts

  • Employees may use this Section 125 plan to redirect a portion of their salary, tax free, for eligible healthcare and/or dependent care incurred expenses.

401(k)/Retirement

  • Upon completion of 6 months of consecutive service, employees may elect to contribute 1-50% of their compensation into the 401(k) plan (beginning at the next quarterly entry date) to the maximum allowed by IRS regulations.
  • Air Wisconsin contributes an amount equivalent to 5% of employee's compensation on a monthly basis. Contribution by the employee is not required to receive this benefit.

Overtime/Premiums

  • Overtime of 1 ½ times employee's rate of pay will be paid for hours worked in excess of scheduled shift.
  • Overtime of 2 times employees rate of pay will be paid for all time worked in excess of 12 hours in one scheduled day.

Paid Holidays

  • Employees are paid 2 ½ times their rate of pay if they work the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve Day and Christmas Day .

Time Away From Work

  • Vacation
    Completion of 1 year of service – 12 days of vacation
    Completion of 5 years of service - 17 days of vacation
    Completion of 12 years of service – 22 days of vacation
    Completion of 18 years of service – 27 days of vacation
  • Sick leave
    Full-time employees earn 1 day per month to a maximum accrual of 120 days plus 124 days in extended sick leave.

Paid Training

  • Lodging and per diem are provided for any off-site required company training.
Paid Parking
  • Air Wisconsin provides employee parking in designated areas at the location where the employee works.
Flexible Schedule
  • Both 8 hour or 10 hour shifts available.
  • Day/Shift swaps permitted.
Educational Assistance
  • Air Wisconsin will pay up to $100 per maintenance related course, upon successful completion.
Employee Assistance Program
  • This confidential free service is available 24 hours per day for employees and their immediate family members.
Uniforms
  • Air Wisconsin assumes the full cost of furnishing and maintaining work uniforms.
Tools
  • Upon proof of purchase, Air Wisconsin will reimburse employee $15 a month for the purchase of tools.
  • Air Wisconsin provides any special tools that are required to provide proper maintenance.
